I currently hold bylines for Suitcase Magazine, NUVO, S/Magazine, Canadian Traveller, Days to Come, Swanky Retreats and more. I’m also the Toronto contributor for Culture Trip. Furthermore, I love to collaborate with travel companies across the globe to create content and help with overall brand strategy.
MEGAN HONAN
Megan Honan is a seasoned travel, food and lifestyle writer. She's lived in Toronto, Canada; London, England; and Perth, Australia.
She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University, with a minor in Public Relations. During her time at Ryerson, she was presented with the Floyd Chalmers Prize for Excellence in Journalism 2018 Award. She also holds a certificate of International Journalism from Curtin University in Perth, Australia.
Born and raised in Canada, Megan began her career at the famed food publication, The Gannet. From there, she became a staff writer for Canadian Traveller Magazine, where she focused on original, long-form features. During her time at the magazine, she also worked with travel brands, such as G Adventures and Cosmopolitan Hotels to create strategic branded content.
Today, Megan travels the globe collecting stories for esteemed travel publications, as well as working with her dream clients in the travel industry. She is also the Head of Content for Folio Travel, a digital guidebook app for short-term rental hosts.
